Interestingly, without any higher moral standard (the future of our children, ethical standards elsewhere in the world, etc.) free trade seems to be increasingly positive - or tariffs negative. So, libertarians might well argue that we need free trade. However, there are balancing feedback loops and if we look at the insight matrix of the negative effects we clearly see that tariffs would mitigate them.
